It is now beyond any doubt that the Hum is the result of pollution on a global scale and as such is beyond the control of the individual.
As yet, no one has found any affective method of screening or blocking the Hum.
For a very few sufferers the Hum may disappear as suddenly as it came but for most it will increase with age and the realisation that one is stuck with this for lifeBuildings and the ground they stand on greatly effect the Hum level, buildings with thick stone walls and a high pointed roof are the worst, those with a flat roof are much better.
The basement of a multi storey block is better than an isolated country cottage. Buildings on a low level and clay are better than those on hills and bedrock.

This does not work for everyone and often deprives sufferers of the deep restful sleep necessary for a healthy life.Laying down has also been reported to increase the Hum level many find an increase the moment their head touches the pillow and some can only find sleep sitting in a chair
For those who find sleeping difficult with a feeling of pressure in the head, try sleeping either face up or face down, avoid sleeping with the side of the head resting on the pillow.Some sufferers have found a complete change of diet helpful, but this is a matter of trail and error and does not work for everyone
If you find the Hum is affecting your health and depriving you of sleep there is one possible solution, sleep outdoors as close to the earth as possible, not very convenient, but it has been proven to work.
